A Level Literature: The Complete Othello (20×2 hour lessons)

William Shakespeare’s tragedy ‘Othello’ remains a celebrated text, still being performed worldwide on-stage and also enjoying a number of reimaged film versions. The ‘Black Lives Matter’ and the ‘Me Too’ movements make this an essential text to study as students in the post-modern world. I have taught this text a number of times and have used these specific (revised) resources to lead my teaching in class, as distance learning materials (Google Meet lessons), as homework assignments and even as tools of revision – all have worked well for the students.
This beautifully illustrated PowerPoint lessons includes a starter activity, a glossary of terms, summary and analysis questions, an academic writing task, a theme tracking slide, an extension task, a homework assignment and a plenary. The study materials contained within these PowerPoint lessons provide approximately 2 hours teaching time in class per PowerPoint. These are complete resources with no additional work required from the teacher, enjoy!
