FRUITS Playing Cards | Flashcards | Vocabulary Games for ESL/EFL/ENL

FRUITS playing cards vocabulary game

This is a set of printable playing cards with FRUITS that will help your students to learn new words in a fun and engaging way.

The pictures can be used as flashcards in many classroom activities or even to play with your own kids at home, but their intended purpose are various card-based games. For example, you can split students into small groups and deal each person three cards. Their goal is to collect a full hand of cards with similar traits (fruit color or shape, name starting with the same letter etc.) through exchanging cards with other players.

To make the activity even more varied and challenging, you can bring more vocabulary categories into the game and set some extra rules if needed.

CONTENTS:

The package includes two different variants of the same cards to choose from (color + black and white), with each set containing 32 cards in total.

WORDS TAUGHT:

apple, pear, banana, peach, grapes, watermelon, cherry, plum, pineapple, orange, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, kiwi, apricot, passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, coconut, lemon, lime, avocado, currant, gooseberry, fig, nectarine, papaya, tangerine, pomegranate, dragon fruit, cranberry

PRINTING TIPS:

The suggested paper size is A4. For my cards I also used thick paper (130gsm) instead of the normal printer paper which is about 80g-100gsm, just to make sure the cards are durable and not easy to bend.

Once cut out, I highly recommend to laminate each card to provide extra stiffness, protection against stains and other contaminants, and to simply prevent ink from wearing off over time.

Thank you for viewing this product and stay tuned for other topic-based playing cards!

In my English teaching practice I'm following one simple rule: if you can't have fun while doing it, your students certainly won't.
