A Dream Within A Dream By Edgar Allan Poe – Lesson Plan

Students will be able to understand the difference between a normal dream and a dream within a dream. They will also be able to share their own dream within a dream.

This lesson plan has nine sessions;

1 – oral discussion

2 – vocabulary

3 – lower order thinking skill questions

4 – higher order thinking skill lesson

5 – analysis and interpretation

6&7 – bridging text and context

8 –  post reading and reflection

9 – summative assessment.

It includes worksheets, and answers to some questions. It promotes the students to think, discuss and answer in complete sentences. Included are vocabulary, grammar,  thinking skills such as to infer or distinguishing different perspectives, and evaluating.
