Give learners multiple ways to practice recognizing and matching corresponding uppercase and lowercase manuscript letters while choosing the response format and level of support that fit the learning experience.
This Uppercase and Lowercase Coloring Alphabet Matching Practice combines three coloring-based matching experiences: Color-Cued, Same-Color, and Find and Color. Each keeps the focus on uppercase and lowercase letter recognition while changing how learners identify and respond to corresponding letter forms.
Practice is provided in both uppercase-to-lowercase and lowercase-to-uppercase directions. Each experience also includes Tailored—Focused, Tailored—Extended, and Standard learner work pages, with Modeled and Independent Practice for every option.

THREE COLORING EXPERIENCES, ONE LEARNING FOCUS
Choose the coloring experience according to what you want the learner to practice and the support that fits the experience.
Color-Cued provides an added visual cue while learners identify corresponding uppercase and lowercase forms.
Same-Color asks learners to connect corresponding letter forms using a shared color.
Find and Color adds visual search as learners locate and color corresponding letters.
The learning focus remains letter recognition and uppercase-lowercase correspondence, while the way learners interact with the letters changes.
You can also select the matching direction, work-page format, and level of modeling separately. Use Modeled Practice when an example would help clarify the expected response, or Independent Practice when that support is not needed.
KEEP THE LEARNING GOING
Ready to move from identifying and coloring corresponding letters to finding and marking matches within a field of choices?
- Uppercase and Lowercase | Find & Mark Alphabet Matching Practice — learners continue practicing letter recognition and case correspondence while adding visual search, target identification, and discrimination among distractors.
