The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost – A lesson plan for student of English as a second language.

Students will be able to begin to discover the road/path they are on/in life.

This lesson plan has eight parts:

1 – Oral discussion

2 – Vocabulary

3 – Lower order thinking skills

4 – Higher order thinking skills

5 – Analysis and interpretation

6 – Bridging text and context

7 – Post reading and reflection

8 – Summative assessment

It includes three worksheets, questions with some answers. It encourages students to think about their past and future, forming discussions. The thinking skill is problem solving. Symbolism and metaphors are also discussed.

I received my B.S. in Psychology at Bridgewater State College, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate at the Boston Academy of English (BAE).
