Thank You China

RECOMMENDATION

Quite by chance, I came across a very special book which, I believe, will be of interest to your readers.
‘Thank You China’ is a firsthand account of the experiences of a Jewish/Israeli couple who spent a year and a half at a university in a rural area of Southern China. Upon their arrival, they were shocked to discover that Jews/Israelis were virtually unknown concepts on campus. In fact, these concepts were also unknown throughout the entire area!
The author, Miriam Lavi, writes about their experiences in China in a manner that will entertain you, all the while sharing her unique insights into Chinese culture.
And the many photos that are included bring an added dimension to the reading experience . . .
